Witches Incorporated (Rogue Agent) Reviews
A continuation of the previous book, The Accidental Sorcerer, follows much of the same formula. It maintains a mostly lighthearted tone with some complexity thrown in. The story follows Gerald and Melissande in a parallel story that converges near the end of the book. The writing for this book is good and the story fairly interesting, but alas a few cons prevents me from giving it a full five stars.
This was a decent 2nd addition to the series. It was not as enchanting as K. E. Mill's first book (in this series), but many of your favorite characters will reappear- as well as some new ones just as interesting.
Yes, it was funny, but not as funny as the first book. Early on the characters Permelia and Eudora, were somewhat hollow and unappealing. They did not evince anything from me, neither love, nor hate, not even exasperation. Still a good effort as sequels go, and quite entertaining in parts. Emmerabiblia needs some work, but the original characters are still tops, especially the incorrigible Reg. Looking forward to reading the next installment. I hope Shugat features prominently.
this is my next read.
The book can really take some time to get to the points you actually care about, the fact that is has parts you don't care about is another thing, However reading it wasn't a waste of time or anything. I enjoyed the overall plot still.
I have forgotten which of the books came first, but I had a desire to read some fantasy and it looked like some thing I would read. It was, and I did. Escape reading.
I enjoy this author.
